We are seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join our Doncaster office and work alongside an experienced Senior Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical family law experience, take on increasing responsibility and build a long-term career within a supportive specialist practice.
The role will include:
- supporting the Senior Solicitor with a privately funded family law caseload;

- assisting with financial disclosure and schedules of assets;
- preparing hearing bundles and briefing documents;
- filing documents through HMCTS online portals;
- monitoring court directions, deadlines and hearing dates;
- liaising with courts, counsel, experts, solicitors and litigants in person;
- maintaining accurate electronic files;
- recording time and supporting the commercial management of files; and
- assisting with initial enquiries and client onboarding.
Candidates with sufficient experience may also have the opportunity to manage appropriate files under supervision.
About you
Applicants should have practical family law experience gained as a paralegal, legal assistant or legal secretary within a family law department.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- experience of privately funded family law;
- knowledge of divorce, financial remedy and private children matters;
- clear and accurate drafting;
- excellent client-care and communication skills;
- strong organisation and attention to detail;
- the ability to manage competing priorities and court deadlines;
- confidence using Microsoft Office and legal case-management systems;
- an understanding of time recording and privately funded work; and
- a professional, reliable and collaborative approach.
Experience using HMCTS online portals and preparing Forms C100, A, D81 and FL401, financial remedy consent orders, online divorce applications, witness statements and hearing bundles would be advantageous.
Why join Andrew Isaacs Law?
The successful candidate will benefit from:
- direct support and supervision from an experienced Senior Solicitor;
- regular file reviews and constructive feedback;
- support from family law colleagues across the firm;
- genuine opportunities for professional development and career progression;
- potential progression through paralegal, trainee solicitor, solicitor or CILEX routes;
- competitive remuneration based on experience;
- full-time or part-time working;
- flexible start and finish times where operationally possible;

- a health cash plan with access to a remote doctor;

- free park-and-ride parking approximately five minutes’ walk from the office.
This role will initially be office-based in Doncaster to allow the successful candidate to work closely with the Senior Solicitor, integrate into the team and receive appropriate supervision. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
