Is FQPS the best SQE1 course?
There is no single best SQE1 course: the right one depends on your budget, how you like to learn and how much help you want from a person. FQPS is built for candidates who want a qualified solicitor beside them without four-figure course fees: a designated mentor on every plan from £79 a month, live classroom sessions with a tutor from £129, and full FLK1 and FLK2 mocks every month. If your employer is paying for a university course, or you only want the cheapest question bank, another provider may suit you better, and we say so below.

SQE1 pass rates: FQPS against the national average
The SRA publishes a pass rate for every sitting. Here are the four most recent, for candidates sitting SQE1 for the first time, next to ours.
How to compare any provider's pass rate
First attempt, or every attempt?
First-attempt rates run four to five points higher than all-candidate rates in every recent SRA report. Compare like with like.
Which sittings?
The national first-attempt rate swung between 46% and 60% from January 2025 to July 2026. A figure from one good sitting says less than one across several.
How many candidates?
A rate from a few dozen students moves a lot with every result. Ask how many candidates the figure covers.
Both FLK1 and FLK2?
You pass SQE1 only by passing both papers. A rate for one paper on its own is not an SQE1 pass rate.
