Our property department has grown steadily, and were adding to the team so we can keep giving clients the same level of service.

The opportunity
When a client gets the keys to their new home, the legal work isnt finished. Their title still has to be registered, and lenders and other Solicitors still need updating. As a Post Completion Legal Assistant, youll handle that last stage, so every purchase and sale is properly closed off.

The team
You will join the Post Completion team within Conveyancing, reporting to the post completion Team Leader. The team has a Team Leader and two Post Completion Legal Assistants, and it sits within a Conveyancing department of 30. Youll be trained on our case management system and registration process in your first few weeks.

What you will do

  • Help register titles with Registers of Scotland once purchases and sales have completed
  • Download Registers of Scotland acknowledgements and Title Sheets, and attach them to our case management system
  • Send Title Sheets to clients and to the other solicitors on each case
  • Update lender portals as each case progresses
  • Check that all registration steps are finished, then close the case
  • Support the wider Conveyancing team with admin when needed

What were looking for

  • Good organisation, and the ability to manage a high volume of cases accurately
  • Close attention to detail
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication with clients and solicitors
  • Confidence with everyday IT, such as email, Word and online portals

Desirable but not essential: experience using the Registers of Scotland portal or a legal case management system.

What you get

  • Negotiable salary
  • Bonus scheme
  • Company pension scheme (Royal London)
  • Medicash health plan
  • 26 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • Holiday Loyalty Scheme: up to 5 extra days
  • Buy or sell up to 3 days holiday each year
  • An early finish on your birthday
  • Hybrid working (on completion of induction training)
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Salary Extras: discounts and savings at a wide range of retailers
  • Wellbeing support and social events
  • Employee referral scheme
