Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per annum

Atha & Co Solicitors is an established leading North East personal injury law firm. We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Fee Earner to join our busy team at our Middlesbrough office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in personal injury law who is confident managing their own caseload and looking to develop their career within an established and supportive legal practice.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) personal injury claims, taking matters from initial instruction through to settlement or conclusion.
The role will involve:
- Managing a caseload of RTA personal injury claims.
- Handling cases through the OIC & MOJ Portal and relevant claims processes.
- Meeting clients face to face, taking instructions and providing advice.
- Progressing matters through to litigation where necessary.
- Reviewing evidence, obtaining medical reports and assessing liability.
- Negotiating settlements with insurers and third-party representatives.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice throughout their claims.
- Ensuring files are managed efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulatory requirements.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a minimum of two years' experience in personal injury law.
- Is a Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal.
- Has good working knowledge of MOJ Portal systems and the subsequent litigation process.
- Is confident managing their own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and client care skills.
- Can work independently while also contributing positively to the wider team.
