Job Description

The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, as well as experience in legal research and document preparation. The successful candidates will be responsible for client satisfaction, case progression, researching legal issues, preparing documents, and assisting with a variety of other tasks. We are looking for an individual who is highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.

  • Handle litigation matters.
  • To advise on commercial contracts and draft, review and negotiate a variety of matters.
  • To work with internal and external specialist lawyers on specialist areas (e.g. Intellectual, Energy/utilities, environmental and health and safety and other regulatory matters)
  • To work on developing new templates and procedures and provide legal training to the organisation.
  • To assist the Corporate Governance and Compliance functions on ad hoc queries
  • To assist with management of the legal budget
  • To provide legal support for ad hoc matters including third party claims and litigation
  • Conduct legal research related to energy regulations, policies, and trends.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, statements, and legal memorandums regarding energy laws and regulations.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, hearings, and meetings.
  • Manage and ensure regular communication with clients.
  • Be involved in the preparation of legal drafts by assembling and organising information and cross-checking relevant legal provisions.
  • Stay updated on professional and technical advancements in energy law

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £30,000.00 per year
