Privacy Legal Counsel – Group Data Protection

The Role:

As a Privacy Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in supporting all of Beauparc's businesses across its Group in ROI/UK and Holland. Reporting to the General Counsel, you could be based in Dublin or the UK and flexible working is offered in this position. This is a permanent position responsible for Group Privacy and Data Protection (70%) and Commercial/Corporate General Advisory (30%).


  • Advise on relevant laws, national guidelines, codes, and best practices in relation to data protection.
  • Assist in responding to and managing data protection breaches and incidents (Beauparc as data controller and data processor).
  • Correspond with the Data Protection Commissioner Office and ICO regarding complaints/investigations.
  • Manage Subject Access Requests and ensure Beauparc's compliance.
  • Support and advise on privacy impact assessments.
  • Assist with Beauparc's obligations on international transfers of personal data.
  • Help build and manage the Group Beauparc Privacy Program, including designing, implementing, and adopting procedures and privacy tools.
  • Provide legal support for M&A due diligence activities.
  • Advise and support Beauparc on its regulatory obligations and ensure compliance.
  • Draft data protection contractual provisions in agreements with clients, vendors, and sites.
  • Provide legal advice on specific data protection aspects of corporate and commercial initiatives.
  • Stay updated with global privacy laws and practices.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.


  • Qualified lawyer with 1+ years PQE, or alternative demonstrable experience within Data Protection/Privacy. A qualified lawyer with less than 1-year PQE will be considered if they have relevant privacy experience from a leading law firm.
  • Keen interest in working in the privacy field within our industry.
  • Strong understanding of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Principles.
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex issues and exercise judgment to achieve consensus.
  • Proven team player with demonstrated leadership and consultation skills.
  • Experience in other fields of law (general advisory, commercial contracts) is advantageous as Beauparc Legal team is a multi-functional team.

Salary: Up to £78,000.00 per year
