We are recruiting an accounts assistant to join our Bookkeeping team. The ideal candidate would be expected to provide a consistent and efficient legal accounts service to clients.

Main Duties:

  • Working in a team and providing a consistent, polite and customer focused service to our clients at all times
  • Using the EvolveGo System
  • Check and Post electronic posting slips which have been completed by Clients
  • Check and Input supplier invoices emailed by Clients
  • Complete and interpret Office/Client/Deposit bank reconciliations
  • Produce and interpret reports for Clients
  • Liaise with clients using Email/Telephone/Internal support system
  • Assisting with the month end process and helping to run month end reports and also VAT reports when required.
  • Setting up bank payments for some clients and advising they can be authorised

Essential Requirements:

  • Fully conversant with double entry bookkeeping
  • Good IT skills – knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A confident and assertive individual who will be able to appreciate the needs of our customers, whilst balancing the pressure of a high-volume posting environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts rules
  • Experience working in a front-line legal account environment for minimum of 2 years
