To do this, you will need to provide evidence of your professional qualification, eg an admission certificate or a certificate of good standing.

You will also need to provide either:

• a reference showing you have at least 12 months' legal work experience post-qualification as a Japanese bengoshi if you qualified before November 2010
• a reference showing you have at least six months' legal work experience post-qualification as a Japanese bengoshi if you qualified after November 2010.

If you provide a reference, we will need proof of your referee(s) professional qualification, eg an admission certificate or a certificate of good standing.
