Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

Working Hours: Full-time

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience) + Company Benefits

The Role

We are looking for a Paralegal to support our Legal Director with the management of construction, litigation, commercial, property (real estate), corporate and employment law matters. The individual will need to be adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks within different specialisms as outlined above.


Key Work Activities

  • Support the Legal Director in relation to their ongoing legal matters and other tasks as needed.
  • Assist in the drafting, reviewing and negotiating of legal documents, contracts and correspondence.
  • Provide legal advice to various departments within the company.
  • Participate in the development of company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with third party organisations on the phone and via email ensuring brilliant communication skills in order to build strong relationships.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Maintain the integrity of data/information by ensuring that they are updated in a timely manner.
  • Undertake legal research both as requested and on own initiative.
  • Ensure you are kept up to date on new legislation and case law that may have an impact upon the business and advice senior management accordingly.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all company operations.
  • Work closely with external law firms by sending clear instructions on each new matter and ensuring legal spend is in accordance with project budget.


What are we looking for?

  • Educated to degree level or similar.
  • Ideally, you will possess prior Construction Law experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm

  • Willingness to adapt to constantly changing business requirements.
  • Must be able to work under pressure to tight timescales, juggle multiple projects and have exceptional organisational skills.
