Are you passionate about aiding individuals in pursuit of justice? Do you possess excellent organisational skills, a methodical approach to tasks, and a commitment to thoroughness? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our law firm as a Criminal Injuries Helpline Representative.

About Us: Progress Law is a reputable and established law firm dedicated to providing legal assistance and support to individuals affected by criminal injuries. With a team of highly skilled professionals, we strive to help victims seek justice and navigate the complexities of the legal system.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responding to incoming calls and inquiries on the Criminal Injuries Helpline promptly and professionally
  • Listening empathetically to callers' experiences, providing emotional support, and offering relevant legal guidance
  • Collecting detailed information from callers regarding their criminal injuries, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assessing the eligibility of callers for compensation and guiding them through the claims process
  • Assisting callers in completing necessary documentation, ensuring all required information is accurately recorded
  • Collaborating with solicitors and legal professionals to gather additional information and evidence when required
  • Maintaining accurate records of all interactions and case details in our case management system
  • Conducting follow-up calls with clients to provide updates, gather additional information, and address any concerns
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to criminal injuries compensation

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice, or a related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience in law firm or a helpline role is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • Methodical approach to tasks, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Empathetic and patient demeanour, with the ability to provide emotional support to callers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with solicitors and other staff members
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures related to criminal injuries compensation
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of case management software and MS Office Suite
