Litigation Paralegal

Overview:
Join a boutique commercial law firm as a Litigation Paralegal and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of litigation.

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to assist with a document review exercise for an ongoing litigation case. The role is specifically tailored to document review tasks, ensuring that the scope of work remains focused and manageable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Analysis- Review and analyse a large volume of documents to identify key information relevant to current litigation cases. This includes categorising documents, highlighting important details, and noting potential legal issues.
  • Data Extraction- Extract pertinent data from documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. This may involve identifying specific clauses, dates, names, and other critical information that could impact the case.
  • Organising Documents- Systematically organise documents based on their relevance and significance to the case. This includes creating and maintaining an organised system for easy retrieval and reference by the legal team.
  • Confidentiality- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection at all times. Ensure that sensitive information is handled appropriately and securely.
  • Reporting- Where appropriate prepare detailed reports summarising findings from the document review. Highlight key points, potential evidence, and areas that may require further investigation or clarification.

Examples of Document Review Tasks:

  • Reviewing email correspondence to identify pertinent conversations and attachments.
  • Analysing contracts and agreements to pinpoint specific terms and obligations.
  • Examining financial records for transactions and entries relevant to the litigation.
  • Assessing internal memos and reports for information that could influence the case outcome.

Work Environment

This role is crucial to supporting our legal team in the ongoing litigation process. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced legal professionals and will play a key role in ensuring that all relevant documents are thoroughly reviewed and analysed.
