Job Description

Trainee Solicitor

We are a boutique clinical negligence firm in Middlesbrough, specialising solely in Claimant clinical negligence work and we have more fee earners doing this type of work than any other firm in the Tees Valley.

The firm is run by 4 partners, 3 of whom were trained at and qualified at our firm. The remaining partner was one of the 2 original Partners who founded the firm in 1992.

We pride ourselves on a good working environment and an opportunity to gain detailed expertise in this area of law which is reflected in the low turnover of fee earners and administrative staff.

Our team is top ranked in leading legal publications, Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500.

You’ll be supporting existing fee earners with pre and post litigated case loads with the opportunity to progress to handling your own cases.

To be considered, you will need to have completed the LPC or SQE and you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to assist with the day to day running of the firm’s clinical negligence cases with a view to managing own caseload.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • Organisational, time management and prioritising skills.
  • Competence in IT.
  • A degree of initiative and desire to learn.
  • Willingness to carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the Partners.
