Job Description

The successful Paralegal will support the department in efficiently and effectively closing files at their conclusion. This will ensure we are GDPR compliant and achieve Client KPI’s and SLA’s.

Key Accountabilities

  • Become fully competent in the Post Settlement Process

  • Actively manage the Post Settlement Spreadsheet’s

  • Liaise with the departments Paralegals to ensure efficiency in the process.

  • Provide continual feedback to improve the process

  • Identify and resolve issues that may prevent file closures in the department

  • Improve the closure rate of the department

  • Be aware of any GDPR compliance issues

  • General admin related to the closure of files.

  • Write off forms where appropriate

  • Liaise with finance re billing queries

  • Updating MI where appropriate

  • Undertake ad hoc duties to support Paralegals and Fee Earners.

  • To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011

  • Adhere to the Keoghs Values


  • Working Hours

    35 hours per week worked 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive with 1 hour for lunch, office location for this role is Compton Court, Coventry 1 day a week and 4 days from home

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case/Claims Management system

  • Knowledge of the closure process

  • Experience of working within a disease team

  • Ability to use own initiative, self-organise and self-prioritise

  • Good listening and communication skills

  • Ability to self-organise and self-prioritise

  • Ability to work under pressure and to target

  • GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths
