# FQPS Academy auth.md

How AI agents authenticate with FQPS Academy. Short version: they don't need to, and they can't register.

## Agent audience

Any AI agent, crawler or tool acting for a person who is researching the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination) or FQPS Academy.

## What needs no credentials

Everything public on fqps.co.uk. No key, token, account or cookie is needed for:

- the MCP server at `https://fqps.co.uk/mcp` (Streamable HTTP; card at `https://fqps.co.uk/mcp/server-card`)
- the WebMCP tools registered in every fqps.co.uk page
- the read-only API listed at `https://fqps.co.uk/.well-known/api-catalog` and documented at `https://fqps.co.uk/developers`
- every page, as HTML or as Markdown (`Accept: text/markdown`)

## Registration

FQPS Academy offers no agent registration, OAuth client registration or API keys, and there is no registration endpoint. Nothing public needs one.

## Student accounts

Student accounts on the learning platform at `https://prep.fqps.co.uk` are for people. The student creates one themselves at `https://prep.fqps.co.uk/auth?view=signup` and signs in with their own credentials. An agent may send a person to that page. It must not create an account, sign in, or enter payment details on their behalf.
